Dr. Jiaying Ren was raised in Chongqing, China before moving to Illinois. As a third-generation dentist, dentistry has always been a meaningful part of her life. She earned her bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Illinois — where she also met her husband and practice partner, Dr. Christopher Probst.
Having undergone both traditional braces and Invisalign to achieve her own ideal smile, Dr. Ren's personal transformation fueled her passion for esthetic dentistry and Invisalign treatment. She brings that empathy to every consultation — she knows first-hand what it means to feel self-conscious, and what it means to finally love your smile.
In 2025, Dr. Ren achieved her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) — a prestigious distinction requiring 500 hours of continuing education across all areas of general dentistry and a comprehensive exam comparable in difficulty to board certification. It's a reflection of the lifelong learning she brings to Renew Family Dentistry every day.
Outside the office, Dr. Ren enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, reading, and spending time with Dr. Probst and their French bulldogs — including @Little_Mr_Wrigley, who you can find on Instagram.
